After her son suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, Jenine’s nominator traveled from Washington state to be with him in Dallas. “During this time, a very dear, soft-spoken, cheerful, and compassionate nurse named Jenine has been a comfort to my son,” the patient’s mother wrote. “My son has enjoyed her smile and wonderfully kind words. I have been staying here and have witnessed her when she was on duty. I am so glad she was assigned to my son. She also had encouraging conversations with me. It has meant the world to me and I will never forget her kindness.”
