My friend has had a long battle with breast cancer and she now has mets to the bone and brain.  She is having success with the latest chemo, but, unfortunately, it has put her back in the hospital with low blood counts.  Today, she was supposed to go to Florida to visit her family and dip her toes in the sand.  While I was visiting her, a PCT named Jenn, came into the room with a stereo playing ocean sounds.  She also brought with her a melted Popsicle on ice (she’s on liquids) with a homemade drink umbrella and a picture of an island landscape.  This was all after Jenn had painted her toenails this morning. 

I want to give praise to Jenn and thank her for helping my friend’s stay in the hospital.  I also want to thank you for being a leader to motivate people to go the extra mile.
