Jenna comes to work each day with a smile on her face and a love for nursing. When rounding on the units I often find Jenna either at the patient’s bedside or at the Nurse’s station mentoring her peers. Over the last year during our challenges with staffing Jenna rose to the occasion. She picked up extra shifts, rotated to night shift, and volunteered to receive extra training in the ICU to support the increased staffing needs of that unit and to help care for our more medically complex patients.

Currently, she is working with CPPI to assist in the delivery of education for our Progressive Care Program. In addition to serving as a member of the Vizient Nurse Residency Advisory board; she will be teaching patient and family education to the Vizient Resident cohorts moving forward. Not only is Jenna involved with our formal residency program for new grads but Jenna was also the first of my staff to volunteer in taking a Salve Regina Capstone student under her wing for a semester. In fact, Jenna is currently mentoring her 3rd Capstone student and has volunteered to take on a 4th this summer. Words cannot say enough about what a great addition to this organization Jenna is. She is a kind and compassionate person and nurse. I find her enthusiasm for nursing and her energy to “pay it forward” inspiring. I would love to see Jenna recognized for the excellent nurse that she is.
