My brother has medically high needs. He has ALS and numerous other complications. We arrived at Saint Thomas in low spirits from a traumatic caregiving event that happened at home. My brother was feeling low and not very hopeful about things. He looked rough and was in a lot of pain from a chest tube. He shared with me that he didn't think he would make it.

The incredible care team at Saint Thomas blew us out of the water with their kindness and faith based community. We truly felt like family. We would like to extend a special thank you to the exceptional care, they treated my brother like a human and not just a job, which means a lot to him who has lost so many dignities during his fight with ALS. The human connection meant so much and honestly, I believe helped aid in his healing.

The team not only took excellent care of my brother, but me, as well as the caregiver. They thought of the small details to make our stay smooth. For people like my brother and I who have lived in hospital settings for weeks at a time, we are very impressed and happy with our time here. Thank you to the team! A special mention to the incredible nurse Jenna who connected with my brother, and taught us about softball and taking amazing care of him!
