I was home having dinner with my family when I suddenly realized that something didn't feel right. Having had a few severe allergic reactions in my life, I thought no way could I be having one now. As a life-long paramedic married to a life-long nurse I tried to play it off, like nothing was wrong. I could feel my throat getting tighter and my body getting itchier so we decided it was best to leave for the Chester County Hospital (Yes I know I should have called 911).

On the rather quick 8-minute trip to the Emergency Department, my symptoms increased dramatically and I was having severe trouble breathing by the time I arrived. I was immediately brought me back for treatment. In a matter of few seconds, Jenna Canales entered my room, and she and another nurse provided the quickest, most efficient, and expeditious care I have witnessed in my over 30 year career in EMS. I have brought thousands of patients into and hundreds of patients out of your hospital and had only been a patient there twice before for surgical procedures.

The outstanding care and compassion expressed by these two nurses were absolutely unreal. They both quickly administered multiple medications and provided supportive and comforting care while I was being treated for my severe allergic reaction. As time went on, Jenna continued to check on me every few minutes for the next several hours. Jenna also showed incredible respect for my wife as well and treated her so well. It was amazing. I truly believe these 2 nurses are the reason patients that come to your ER receive such great care and they should absolutely be recognized for their hard work. Thank you!
