Jenna Davis 2, RN

Jenna's communication, coordination of resources to meet organizational goals and her leadership style are exemplary. Since she assumed her current role in April of 2022, her staff and I have witnessed her do five things that define excellent leadership. Jenna Davis “models the way, inspires a shared vision, engages in the process of the team, enables others to act, and encourages from the heart” (Kouzes and Pozner 2012). She also deserves a nomination for her inter-professional collaboration and communication. Ineffective communication between professionals is a major obstacle and is directly related to outcomes and quality (Clarin 2007). I have personally seen her here long after hours and on weekends doing additional preparation for the next day's or next week's surgery. I would encourage the nominating committee to talk to the nurses she manages for more personal examples of how effective a leader she is.
