Jenna put us at ease immediately. She was kind, empathetic, and generous with her update and when addressing our questions we felt a strong sense of care and understanding.
Our father had one of his most serious medical episodes of the last twenty years overnight, and it was an extremely frightening experience. My sister and I were in awe of how peaceful the facilities at the IMCU are. Upon arrival a very friendly group of staff at the nurses' station, including but not limited to a welcoming charge nurse S and a kind CNA A. After S welcomed us in, Jenna came to brief us on our father's status. Jenna put us at ease immediately. She was kind, empathetic, and generous with her update and when addressing our questions we felt a strong sense of care and understanding.
She is knowledgeable but able to explain medical terminology in layman's terms. Jenna had an incredible sense of humor as our father's cognition returned, and what I found most remarkable was her sense of comradery for his care. It felt as though she was really on his team, without an ounce of judgment. As we recognized questions we had forgotten, she was always friendly and welcoming no matter how small or repetitive the inquiry. I feel very lucky that Jenna was working the IMCU today and feel relieved that she was with him to bring him to a stable condition in the most critical hours of his recovery. If Jenna is an example of the caliber of nurses available at Three Rivers Asante, all its patients are in extremely good care. Thank you, Jenna!
