Being asked to pinpoint one staff member to nominate is just as difficult to pinpoint one instance where Jenna impacted my life in general and my stay here significantly. It isn’t so much what she has done for me and others, but how I’m left feeling after what she has done for me or what I’ve seen her do for others. She has shared some personal information about two enormous milestones going on in her personal life. However, her dedication to her staff, coworkers, and patients has not wavered one bit! In fact, I feel it has increased her ability to be a great steward of this demanding field. Jenna is truly a self-starter and first responder. Heroes are not just those who go through isolated extraordinary feats to save or change a life, heroes also are those who do the right thing whether someone is noticing or not.

I moved to the unit where I met Jenna two days ago. This was at a time I was second-guessing my stay vs leaving when I was looking for reasons to check myself out. She gave me reasons to stand still and stay connected. Her words, personal sharing, demonstrated work ethic, and teaching but most of all listening with ears and heart touched me beyond measure. In 2 days, I will carry the feeling of her for a lifetime.
