My husband was admitted for prostate cancer surgery. He was in surgery and recovery all afternoon and into the evening. It was getting late and I had missed the last shuttle back to my motel. My phone was dead, and I was frustrated. A gentleman at the desk was trying to help me when Jenna walked by as we were discussing our options. She offered to get me an Uber. I told her I wasn't familiar with how it works. By the time we were done talking, Jenna had already set up a pickup. (I guess there's an app for that).
I think she could tell I was uneasy because of all the questions I was asking like how would I know the car? Would there be a sign on his car? Knowing me, I would get into someone else's car! Jenna asked permission to walk me out. By the time we went outside, a car had pulled up. She assured me this was my ride. When we got back to the motel, I asked the driver what I owed. He looked puzzled and said I already paid and was my name Jenna. I was so surprised and taken back to realize not only did she work to get me back to the motel but had paid for it as well. What an overwhelming feeling to know she expected nothing in return. Jenna needs to know what a blessing she was to me that day!
