Jenna exemplifies compassionate nursing care in her relentless commitment to her patients, regardless of circumstance. Several months ago, she was scheduled to work from home to fulfill Shared Governance duties. Instead, she came into the office because she was aware of a patient that required an injection on that date. There was no one else available to administer the injection, since it could only be done by a nurse. Jenna took her lunch break to administer the injection ensuring the patient received the required dose at the appropriate date and time. Jenna personifies the goal of Shared Governance in her ability to prioritize the patient's needs and be an advocate for the patient to ensure their health and safety. Jenna is an excellent communicator. She has an innate ability to adapt her communication style in order to meet the person where they are. Whether she's communicating with a patient, colleague, or someone from senior staff, Jenna regularly demonstrates her ability to keenly deliver information that is helpful to anyone she is working with.

Jenna is also an amazing teacher-not just in nursing but in technical skills. She works extremely well with MAs and if she does not immediately know the answer to something, she will work to find the answer. She strives to improve her unit, Shared Governance, and applied for CHOP's Professional Advancement Program and immediately earned PEAK II designation.
