Jenna Smith 2025, MSN, RN, CEN

I would like to nominate Jenna Smith for the DAISY Award for her outstanding dedication and compassion over the past 8 years. As a seasoned nurse and soon-to-be Nurse Practitioner, Jenna embodies everything this award stands for-going above and beyond in every aspect of patient care and team collaboration. Jenna has consistently shown a selfless commitment to her colleagues, always ready to share her vast knowledge and lend a hand wherever needed. Just recently, I found myself in a situation where I needed help transporting a patient and their belongings to the main lobby. With transport services backed up and no CNAs available, Jenna didn't hesitate for a moment. She immediately stepped in, helping not only with the patient's transport, but also making sure the entire experience felt lighter and even fun. She has been a vital resource for our team, offering assistance with difficult IV placements and sharing her expertise without a second thought. Jenna's willingness to go the extra mile, whether it's lending a hand in a challenging situation or offering her time and advice, has never been limited by the task at hand. She's a true asset to our team and to the patients she cares for. It has been such a privilege working with Jenna, and I truly believe that this award is long overdue. She once shared that her dream was to receive a DAISY Award before finishing her Nurse Practitioner program, and I can think of no one more deserving. Jenna's kindness, dedication, and expertise make her an exemplary nurse and an incredible human being.
