My husband was a patient in Mercy's ICU. I want to especially commend my husband's nurse, Jenna Wintermantel. Jenna went beyond her duties to make my husband and me comfortable. The ICU is a very scary place and Jenna made our experience less scary by explaining everything that was going on, what she was doing, and taking time to answer any questions we had.
During my husband's stay, there was never a time when he or I asked for something that Jenna didn't make happen. She made us feel like we were members of the Mercy family during his stay. I am the type of person that watches every move when my husband is in the hospital. Watching Jenna made me aware of what a wonderful, caring, compassionate, nurse and person she is.
