During my father's stay in the ICU, we had the pleasure of meeting Jenni. From her warm greeting to the end of her shift she did everything in her power to make sure both my dad and my family were comfortable. She explained every drug and intervention to us. she openly offered her expertise and welcomed questions. Though we were one of her two very sick patients, she never allowed us to feel that our concerns burdened her. Before I could even voice concerns, she entered the room and addressed them. She noticed everything from the bracelet becoming too tight on his edematous arms to the need for an extra chair for our visiting family.
Moments after I questioned my father's low respiration rate with the respiratory technician, she appeared at the entrance of his doorway also noting the change. She was so intuitive, and her every action was evidence of her expert critical thinking ability. And even at her very high complex level of understanding, she catered to our needs as a family hurting. I want to thank Jenni for her extraordinary service and dedication to my dad's care.
