...As the patient educator on the Rehab unit, Jenni does an incredible job educating patients and families in a compassionate, yet thorough manner. These patients and families are often dealing with life-changing issues that take a great deal of time and concentration on Jenni's part. She always goes the extra mile to make sure that prior to discharge patients and families are comfortable with what they know about their condition and what will happen after they leave the hospital. Her excellence is exemplified in her every-day interactions with patients, families, and staff members. Other staff nurses see her as a resource for patient educational needs and often turn to her for questions and guidance. Jenni works closely with therapists, physicians, and discharge planners. She always has a good attitude and exhibits respect for every team members role. As an educator, Jenni is continuously researching new and changing practices and relating these to patients. Jenni's dedication to Providence's mission and core values are evident in the work she does.

Jenni is an outstanding nurse who takes excellent care of her patients. She is patient with patients, co-workers, and visitors treating all with respect. Jenni is involved with several patient care improvement processes on 5WR including developing and interdisciplinary chart rounds form, revamping the therapeutic pass form/process, participating in the Magnet journey as our unit rep and functioning as the unit SME for EPIC. Jenni also practices her care in the community volunteering at things such as the stroke support group at outpatient.
