We had a very agitated dementia patient for whom German was her first language. Jenni played German lullabies on her phone to try to comfort the patient.
Jenni is one of the best nurses that I have ever worked with. Jenni is so kind and helpful to all of her teammates. She is a great patient advocate and will stand up to fellow nurses and providers for her patients even though that can be very uncomfortable. She is the most compassionate nurse, even with very difficult patients.
We had a very agitated dementia patient for whom German was her first language. Jenni played German lullabies on her phone to try to comfort the patient. That is just one example. She is always doing things like this. She is very good at talking with families about the patient’s prognosis and the realities of code status without being too graphic. This has helped many of our patients who have a grim prognosis pass with dignity and peace. She is better at this than many providers I have worked with.
It’s also wonderful to work with her and to follow behind her. She always volunteers to do hard tasks and to help with them. Following her is great because you know your patient was taken care of and they will be as happy and comfortable as possible. The rooms are tidy, everything is labeled every container is fresh/empty and every needed supply is stocked. You can’t ask for better than that. If I’m ever hospitalized I hope I have a nurse like her!
