I felt I wasn't being heard by doctors or residents when asked about my input or suggestions. I asked for an enema for my child and her heart rate was low due to all the pressure in her abdomen. I was worried she would go asystole, which she did and I called a code on my own and then they listened. The next day I felt frustrated, defeated, and withdrawn. Jennie listened and took action, came up with a care conference including social workers. She informed the next nurse what she would do the next day too. This nurse was an advocate for my daughter and for me as well. Thank you for helping me have my voice back.
