December 2024 Honoree
Jennie L Mackay, RN
I'm an IH caregiver, but I've spent enough time in the SFH ED that I'm submittinng this as a patient. Honestly, Jennie is an absolute angel, and I'm so grateful for her as a patient and fellow caregiver!
I've needed to go to the SFH ED several times since it opened. Every time Jennie is my nurse, she has shown interest in my health and well-being. She remembers my name and what I've visited for in the past. Once I came in, she saw my name on the board, and even though I wasn't assigned to her, she came in to say hello and make sure I was okay.
Jennie makes me feel seen. In a world where health care can be impersonal and downright discouraging, she provides a warm and welcoming presence while maintaining the highest standards of care. The ED can be a scary, overwhelming place, and she helps me feel safe.
