Jennie Morse went with me to the floor to take care of a very sick heart failure patient who needed a TEE/Cardioversion. The patient had a rough exterior with obvious drug use and systems neglect. I watched Jennie treat him like a human being, even a friend. His hard exterior melted, and she laughed, putting the patient at ease. He was scared and scared to show it. She loved him, she cared for him, and she befriended him. Jennie showed herself as truly compassionate, exemplifying what nursing should be and how nurses should be.

I came in for a TEE and was quite nervous. In addition to being professional and very knowledgeable about my procedure, Jennie acknowledged my nervousness and talked to me about other things. She kept me laughing and helped me to relax. While this is not a huge medical thing, the mind is as important as the body, and this made a big difference to me. Jennie is a terrific nurse; I appreciate her more than I can say.
