I want to acknowledge the outstanding care that Jennifer provided a recent family. The patient verbally stated that she did not trust health care. The patient required medical attention but refused all care items for herself and her newborn. Jennifer took the time to listen, spoke to them like a friend, and provided education in a supportive, non-judgmental way that never pressured the family.
