I would like to recognize Jennifer for her exemplary clinical skills, composure, and demonstration of excellence in patient care. Jennifer deftly navigated a highly acute situation involving a patient who called our answering service and reported experiencing mania, suicidal ideation, and having access to lethal means. This patient was at risk of imminent harm or death, and Jennifer was able to navigate this situation with remarkable calm and professionalism. She was able to build rapport with this patient, redirect them from harming themselves, and convince them to voluntarily seek treatment from the emergency department. Through her heroic actions and composure under pressure, Jennifer effectively prevented a potentially tragic outcome.
