My husband had gall bladder surgery that was supposed to be outpatient, however, the surgery was complicated and he was admitted overnight. Saturday, his Nurse, Jenny, was checking his drain and immediately noticed the drainage was not what it should have been. She contacted the surgeon on call to let him know my husband was draining bile. His antibiotic was changed and he was going to be sent home. However, Jenny continued to check his drain and the output kept increasing and looking worse, so Jenny contacted the surgeon again.

The surgeon returned, rechecked, and kept him through the weekend for further observation. Ultimately, he ended up with another big procedure and a 5-day hospital stay. Throughout our stay, Jenny kept us informed of everything happening. She was on top of everything. She made us feel like we were her only patients and took care of my husband’s every need before he had to ask. We left the hospital like we had a new family friend. I cannot thank Jenny enough for her persistence and professionalism. I feel like she saved my husband from more serious complications and surgeries. Jenny is truly one of the best Nurses I have ever been around. Thank you for your care!
