While I was prepping for an outpatient procedure, I had a horrible headache. A friend drove me to the ER, and I was then admitted. The afternoon before my outpatient procedure, I was to be sent home and would need to finish my prep at home. Jennifer sensed how afraid I was that the prep would cause the same problem, and I would be all alone.
Without my knowledge, she went above and beyond. She interacted between doctors and administrators, between inpatient and outpatient departments. She arranged it so I would stay as an inpatient, and nurses would oversee my prep. Then I would go to outpatient for the procedure and then back to my bed as an inpatient. The relief I felt was so overwhelming. I am so thankful to her. Jennifer didn't see me just as a patient but as another human being in need.
