A patient's family member recognized Jennifer after she took the time to visit the patient while he was seen in the Emergency Department. She provided support and helped them through a situation that is often stressful and unpredictable for any patient and family. She stayed after her shift had ended to help answer their questions and alleviate any concerns due to uncertainty. Jennifer also visited the patient and his family after they had been admitted to the inpatient unit. The family expressed deep appreciation for the effort Jennifer put forth in a manner that went above and beyond.
