I have been receiving in-hospital chemotherapy for leukemia. I am very familiar with the oncology department. However, during my most recent hospitalization (my sixth), I had more complications than expected. I was admitted and am still receiving IV antibiotic therapy for pneumonia. I was transferred from the oncology unit to ICU to Neuro Telemetry, then to Surgical Telemetry. I had the pleasure of having Jennifer as my night shift nurse. I met the most attentive, caring, trustworthy, and compassionate nurse! When she says she will do something, she does it right away and without hesitation. I feel like I am her only patient. She explains what she will be doing.
Jennifer goes above and beyond what is expected. I wish that she could be my nurse every day, but I know that is impossible. She is such an amazing nurse and person. When I find out she is my night nurse, I feel so at ease. I know I will be greatly taken care of.
