Our 3-year-old daughter had brain surgery to remove a tumor. The surgery went well but there were complications with her sodium levels. Nurse Jen was amazing in helping us through this difficult time. She even melted popsicles to see how many our daughter could have and still stay under her liquid restrictions. Nurse Jen helped advocate for us with the treatment team to make sure our daughter got just what she needed. She was amazing and a bright spot during a challenging time. We’re happy to share that her sodium eventually stabilized and she finished her radiation treatment and has returned home. Whenever we drove by Le Bonheur our daughter would say “That’s where Nurse Jen gave me popsicles!” Thank you, Nurse Jen!
