K, a single mother of two, who had metastatic cancer was an FCCC inpatient numerous times. It was a very emotionally challenging case and many of us became close to K. Jennifer made a beautiful picture to honor the time K spent with us and to acknowledge her transition into another stage. K left us to continue her long-fought journey in a meaningful way through hospice. The picture reads “It was then that I carried you.” Jennifer is truly an amazing nurse who was able to provide a connection to K and her transition to hospice.
