Jennifer was a tremendous help in the safe care of an ICU patient overnight. A young patient who was recently extubated was struggling to breathe and was on the verge of getting re-intubated. Before anesthesia came, Jen was able to calm the patient down by helping her calm down to make her feel more comfortable. Jen offered support to the patient that helped more than any medication could have. It saved the patient from being intubated and without her addressing the social needs of the patient, there would have potentially been a worse outcome. She demonstrated her expertise in a time of dire need.
