I would like to nominate Jennifer for the DAISY Award for her exceptional clinical skill, calm leadership, and unwavering dedication to patient care during a critical emergency. During a cord prolapse, Jennifer immediately recognized the severity of the situation and responded without hesitation. She remained remarkably calm and level-headed, quickly intervening by placing her hand to relieve pressure off the umbilical cord—an action that requires both confidence and advanced clinical judgment. She maintained this position, prioritizing the baby's safety and well-being, until the Labor & Delivery team arrived. In an incredibly high-stress, time-sensitive situation, Jennifer exemplified what it means to be a nurse. Her ability to stay composed, act decisively, and advocate for our patients directly contributed to a safer outcome. Her actions reflect not only her clinical expertise but also her deep compassion and commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
