The instructor's passion for this topic and patient advocacy are demonstrated through her work with the Arizona State Board of Nursing and hospital systems in Arizona, to advocate for screening all postpartum women for postpartum depression. The instructor's personal sharing of her experiences and how she has used these experiences as a platform to captivate people to listen and enact change has served as an inspiration for her students.
