When I received Jennifer as my nurse, my perception of the hospital changed. Upon my first meeting, Jennifer entered my room and introduced herself. She went to the computer, moved it over to the chair, and sat down beside me. She began to tell me what her goals were for me and then asked me what my goals/expectations were for her. She was the only nurse during my stay who mentioned anything about care goals and expectations.

From the first meeting, until I was moved, I was sure to receive outstanding care from Jennifer. She would communicate all my questions or concerns to my doctor and communicate to me about my meds, and procedures, and ensure my visitors were okay. Jennifer is an outstanding nurse. She was professional and provided me with exceptional care. She ensured that my pain was managed and I felt comfortable during my stay. She deserves the honor of this DAISY Award. She is the epitome of what a great nurse is and should be. You can tell that she loves what she does and loves to provide care for people. Jennifer goes above and beyond the call of duty. I know why she is affectionately called Mama because that is the type of care she provides. The care of a mother. Because of Jennifer, my stay at the hospital was a pleasant one.
