Jen is the manager for 7 West at Riley Hospital. She is a phenomenal manager and 7 West is lucky to have her in this role. She always has a smile on her face and can find the positive in any situation. She has an awesome sense of humor and this is one of the many reasons I think she is so relatable with her team members. She takes the time to get to know her staff on an individual basis. She has an open-door policy for her office and always makes herself accessible to staff. One of the ways I am most impressed by Jen is her ability to encourage staff to take on new challenges. Jen approached me about taking on a leadership role with Nursing Peer Review in 2017 and has supported me and mentored me ever since. I am grateful that she saw that potential in me. I am thankful to work on a unit with a strong leader who values her team members.
