Jennifer Forbes, RN

There are so many reasons why this woman is so deserving of the DAISY Award. I see her giving herself time and time again without wanting anything in return. She has a strong desire to help others, which is evident in all she does. She cares for the kids that come back to the OR as if they were her very own. She even gives them her own phone to watch cartoons. She listens to her patients and speaks to them as if they were all neighbors. If they don't know her when they meet her, they feel they've known her forever when they leave. She dedicates her time to the ICU and takes on extra shifts when they are short-staffed. There are so many things she does in this building that make her a great nurse, but that is not where her nursing ends.

After work, when most of us are tired and just want to go home and rest, this beautiful person continues to help others without question. She rushes home to help her mother-in-law, who needs full-time help. She gives back to the community by volunteering at various events that require a first aid tent or table. She gives her time at many sporting events for Camden schools. When she hears that someone is sick, you can expect a grocery drop-off from her, along with numerous calls and texts checking to make sure you're okay. You see, these are just a few of the reasons that Jennifer Forbes is so deserving of the DAISY Award. I'm afraid there is not enough paper to convey how selfless she is.
