Jennifer was an excellent nurse and provider to our dad while he was in the ICU unit. She gave excellent care and attention to our father over several weeks. She always had a smile on her face and was so very pleasant. Each day she came on her shift, she would update us with his new vitals, when the doctor was coming, and what course of action was going to be done.
Jennifer knew we were concerned and wanted to be with him as much as possible, so she didn't enforce the number of visitors he had in his room if we were quiet and respectful of other patients and their visitors. She told him to stay positive and to not get worried: God was in control. She shared with our dad bible verse. We printed this verse on his wall so that he could see it and we could read it to him. She not only brought him his medication every day, but she also reassured him about his health and listened to his stories, which brought him great delight.

Our dad grew very dependent on Jennifer and he trusted her. It was an emotional and very difficult time in our lives, and we had to meet with hospice and make decisions. When we had to move our dad to another floor for hospice care, Jennifer worked past her shift and was there to help move him. Then later she came back to check on him and us to see if we needed anything. She shared with us that the hospice nurse was the nurse that her grandmother had while in hospice care.
Jennifer came to our father's funeral and brought beautiful flowers for his grave. She didn't have to do that, but he was not only a patient to her he had become a friend. Knowing our father was in such good hands brought a sense of peace to our entire family. We want to thank her.
