Jennifer is your informal leader, who not only takes care of her assigned patients but is always willing to help other nurses with their patients when needed. She is a good resource for new nurses and has been willing to precept new hires. If there was a position for Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, she would qualify for it as she feeds and shares her food with everyone in the unit. This has created good camaraderie between all employees.

When making rounds, patients are very complimentary of her and the care she gives them. I never met an unhappy patient of hers. Physicians have also complimented her for her good communication skills, staying on top of her patients’ conditions, immediately notifying physicians, and acting on orders given. She also would volunteer to help other departments, i.e., the kitchen without being prompted.
