Being a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital on 3-1 for more than a month has given me the opportunity to recognize the outstanding attributes of Nurse Jen Gressel.
SERVICE: Jen spread sunshine when there were clouds of despair and pain.
ATTITUDE: When others weren't so understanding, Jen went out of her way to make a difference and she did make a huge difference.
REVERENCE: Jen always set an example for others in the professional treatment of patients and staff.
TEAMWORK: Jen was always there to lend a hand when my assigned nurses were busy. While some in our society shy away from work, Jen went out of her way to be there. She was the epitome of (the song) "Lean on Me".
When you look up the word "Nurse" in the dictionary, Jen Gressel's picture should be there. St. Joseph's Hospital is very fortunate to have her on their nursing staff.
