Dr. Hackel is a wonderful and effective mentor and educator as well as a great communicator with students and colleagues across disciplines and cultures. Recently her students ' evaluation of her teaching has ranged 91.6% to 100% for all courses. Dr. Hackel constantly improves her teaching by introducing pedagogical innovations, inviting guest speakers, and creating panels of recent graduates to discuss transitions to practice.
