Dr. Hackel is a wonderful and effective mentor and educator as well as a great communicator with students and colleagues across disciplines and cultures. Recently her students ' evaluation of her teaching has ranged 91.6% to 100% for all courses. Dr. Hackel constantly improves her teaching by introducing pedagogical innovations, inviting guest speakers, and creating panels of recent graduates to discuss transitions to practice. Students ' responses to her courses have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic. Recent student comments on evaluations include "Best Professor so far!!!" or "Dr. Hackel did an amazing job!"
