Thank you Jenny for showing compassion and caring to a pediatric patient last week! The patient came out to PACU, and Jenny noticed her stuffed animal head, named Goose, was tearing significantly at the seams. The duck had two bandaids holding the head in place of the body. The patient was still asleep, but Jenny had the idea of sewing the head back on so that the patient could wake up and see that Goose was fixed. Jenny was able to sew the head back on in 5 minutes! Just that simple act of kindness made a big difference in the patient's recovery. She was ecstatic that her duck was fixed! The parent mentioned to us that the patient had asked the night prior if her doctor could fix her duck while she got her procedure done in the OR. Jenny made that happen without even knowing that it was a request specifically of the patient until afterward. Thank you, Jenny, for putting a smile on our patient's face and going above and beyond for her!!
