Jennifer, no, I haven’t forgotten about you, and I never will. I apologize for taking so long to send you a card. There is no way that I can express in words how thankful I am for you. You were the angel the Lord sent to comfort me on the worst day of my life. You were standing there with me when I was told that I would lose my “other half.” How true that phrase “other half” is. Instead of losing one person, I have also lost half of myself. You held me while I cried so hard for so long, my body hurt. You had so much compassion, love, and support for someone you barely knew. You were there for my family. You were the blessing we needed at that time. You are a true example of nursing being your calling. There is so much more that I wish I could write but I have no words to explain it. I will never be able to thank you enough for being there on “that day.” Please know God is using you.
