Jennifer takes the time to come and see our patients and staff when she's on the floor and she displays such empathy not only for the patients but also the staff if they are having a tough go of things that day. She came out of her office during a crisis situation and helped stabilize the patient and keep the patient or other staff from being injured. She is a constant resource and support system.
She strives to create a family-like environment in our work setting. Jennifer always stresses the importance of caring for our patients and each other. She wants her staff to improve their abilities. She focuses on professionalism and respect among staff and towards the patients. She acts ethically, always.
Jennifer truly wants our unit to be a shining example of what a great unit should be. She will stick her own neck out for staff to ensure that we are able to provide the best care possible for our patients. She remains calm even in the face of frustrating circumstances always positive and supportive of our unit.
She recognizes and supports the ever-changing role of the nurse. She empowers and has never belittled the contribution that nurses make to our organization and values the voice of the nurse.
Jennifer has led our department through some of the toughest times that any unit could ever face. She has always been an advocate for her staff and for the patients. She thinks of our team as a family and cares for us and works for us more than many people even know. Jennifer deserves more recognition than she will most likely ever get and I am thankful each day I work that she is my leader and my friend.
