I do not believe any other RN would have that initiative.

When I had a complaint about ‘overstaying’ so that Aurora could ‘fill their expensive hotel to maximize profits,’ RN Jennifer Kach entered the room within a few minutes. In a pleasant, cordial, but firm conversation, RN Jennifer Kach understood that I was profoundly deaf and suffered with AR Macular Degeneration and was probably misinformed. She explained to me that the ACA ‘thing had changed’ and that Medicare Patients care was billed on a ‘flat rate basis’ and not a ‘fee for service.’ She also explained that the medication was not having desired effects and the testing was taking up so much time. She also took the initiative to explain the positive role Aurora was playing in striving for ‘performance excellence while expanding health care services in SE Wisconsin as a non-profit organization.’ I was impressed with her communication and citation skills, as well as her obvious, honest belief that Aurora was a positive and dynamic organization bringing first-rate health care at modest costs. While strolling the halls, I noticed her always focused ‘on task,’ performing her duties with intelligence, energy, efficiency, and genuine concern for welfare, comfort, and proper medical attention. She had no time for ‘small talk’ but gave a polite ‘hello’ as I passed by. There was a ‘pharmaceutical issue’ prolonging my stay. RN Jennifer Kach showed initiative in resolving that issue by communicating with medical professionals in my family. A pharmacy decision was made by me with the new information. I do not believe any other RN would have that initiative. While tasking in my room, we had a brief dialogue regarding CRISPR. I was amazed at the depth and breadth of her Bioengineering knowledge. She has even written a paper on the topic. She knows her stuff on a wide range of health care subjects. On checking out, I was given a 32-page document with all the particulars of my case and then some. Knowing I was deaf and partially blind, RN Jeni highlighted the most important items of the document to facilitate my reading with six power glasses and a magnifying glass. She also read and discussed that information with me using my Pocket Talker. In summary, Jeni Kach is an intelligent, well-read, motivated, loyal, multi-tasking, skilled, knowledgeable, and articulate RN dedicated to her patients, Aurora, and her profession. I draw attention to her remarkable attributes in hopes that her modeling the virtues of her profession are noticed and recognized by her colleagues.
