Jennifer Keegan, BSN, RN
Our department has a “shout out” board, which is a place everyone can come together to celebrate each other. I collect them and upload the compliments to staff files or send them to other managers. When I read this “shout out” from one of our PAs about our nurses I took pause. Jennifer used her skill as an ED RN to advocate, assess and give excellent care. When I saw her name that was not a surprise as well. Jennifer is able to stay calm under fire and use her expertise to care for our patients. In this case, she was a lifesaver. Jennifer trusted her instinct on a patient who had a seemingly benign fall, what seemed like a stable pubic ramus fracture, but who ended up hypovolemic shock due to blood loss in the pelvis and INR of 4.0! Fantastic work! I’m thankful you were the patient’s nurse!
