As you know going through cancer illness and chemotherapy is majorly more than just "no picnic". The pain of the illness itself, the fear of the known. Compounded by the indescribable anguish of the possible unknown, the discomfort of the treatments, their painful and embarrassing side effects, the need to need so many others, and the list goes on. But I take pen in hand to share with you a ray of sunshine in the darkness of a difficult journey, and that is your amazing infusion staff and most specifically Nurse Jennifer. While I have yet to encounter any member of the infusion staff that was not helpful, Jennifer stands out head and shoulders above the rest! The care, attention to every minute detail, constant checking on patient comfort, carefully explaining every step of the procedure, detail by detail. Making sure the patient understands and is comfortable with what's happening and ready for the next step, is only surpassed by her sincere, warm caring and encouraging bedside manner in all interactions with her patients. There is nothing too small (or large) for her to do to make her patient comfortable, reassured, and secure. Her smile and sincere words of encouragement add an uplifting feeling at a time when it's so desperately needed.
