I have known Jen as a colleague and as a nurse who plays a huge role in my daughter’s care. I respect and appreciate her so much in both roles, the latter being very special for me. Jen has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions for my family. I have interrupted her more times than I can count asking her questions, asking for help, or simply needing her to hear my crazy worries before I say them to anyone else. She taught my daughter how to give herself her injections and talked to her directly, which resulted in my daughter feeling confident to administer her own medication (I have never administered a dose). Jen maintains an awareness of her division and patients and operates with a great deal of passion for the patients she serves. She is smart and confident but willing to ask questions. Ambulatory nurses have an ability to make a huge impact on how a patient and family cope with chronic disease, and I can say with confidence that because of Jen, my life has been positively impacted by her dedication to her patients. I am extremely proud to work with Jen both as a colleague and will forever be grateful for her as part of my daughter’s medical team.
