She carried herself with kindness and created a peaceful and calming atmosphere.
I hadn't felt well all week but woke up on Saturday and knew I needed help. I went to a weekend clinic, and they sent me to the hospital. That's where I met my nurse, Jennifer. The fear in my head: was it rejection? I hadn't been sick since the transplant. What could it be? Jen was amazing. You could tell she genuinely cared for her patients. Her knowledge and confidence gave me such comfort. She carried herself with kindness and created a peaceful and calming atmosphere. I was diagnosed with respiratory issues. Since I was at our small local hospital, I needed to be transferred for further tests and treatment. This was post-pandemic time, and no beds were available. I was in the ER for days. Jen checked on me, even without being my nurse. She brought chocolate to cheer me up and offered to get any food I may want to help me get better and to boost my spirits. I never knew this sweet lady before, but we talked about our grandkids, my favorite. She made sure I never wanted for anything. She is a great example to others, and she made my stay pleasant. Thank you!
