My mom has vascular dementia and had a really rough, combative day on Monday. Jennifer came on duty that evening. Jennifer was so sweet and caring in dealing with Mom. Mom responded to her in a positive and cooperative manner, where she had been totally angry and difficult that day. Jennifer worked very hard in changing Mom's briefs and her bed several times both Monday and Tuesday nights. She also was very compassionate and caring to my sister and me, as we never left Mom's side in the 3 days and nights she was there. Jennifer made coffee for us and even brought it to us, and showed us where to get it. She always asked us if there was anything she could do for us.
I know she had a particularly busy night Tuesday night, but that did not keep her from devoting all the attention Mom needed that night.
Jennifer is a hard-working, conscientious nurse and person. She seems to have such a sweet, caring demeanor. She was the best nurse through all the shifts that we were there, both in work ethic and kindness and compassion. She made our lives a little easier those days when we really need the help.
