As the Clinical Lead of the SS PPO team, Jennifer has led the team very successfully through many challenges and progressive changes since she took the role. Her knowledgeable and professional leadership is a positive role model for all of her team members. She has mastered getting policies and standard work created for the PPO process of the new Endoscopy Center, and more recently City Gate, the New Surgery Center, so the staff was well-prepared and things could go smoothly with the PPO process. 

She leads with a positive and patient attitude while frequently checking in on how staff members are doing and offering her assistance if needed. She readily offers personal help and support in providing guidance and direction for handling difficult issues that arise. She is well respected among the WellSpan System PPO Clinical Leads as well as the Surgical Practices the team works with.

During the difficult journey the past 2 years with the health decline and loss of one of our team members, Jennifer was very flexible with the nurse, allowing her to adjust her schedule to make it possible for her to continue to work as long as she felt she could. She offered and provided time for the staff to get extra support from the chaplain and other team members, any time, but especially during the recent difficult loss of our dear co-worker and friend. Jennifer sensitively offered her care and support to every member while dealing with her own personal grief. 

Jennifer keeps things moving to get the work done in a timely manner, but the team especially admires and appreciates her personal interest and demonstration of care and concern for each member. She offers the flexibility that she is able to in making sure staff can take care of personal and healthcare needs. She has worked herself to cover for call-offs or so a team member was able to be off for something that was important to them, even while she is busy with BSN classes. This special interest and care she demonstrates for her team allows us to feel respected, connected and appreciated as a member of the PPO family, Jennifer is truly a role model for the Clinical Lead Position and will have many opportunities to expand and advance her nursing career with her experience, knowledge and leadership skills in the future if she so chooses.
