I was trying to tell you things, and you tell me “I will give you your pain meds for now. I have to meet my other patients and then I will come back to you. By the way, I am very strict. I want you to do that breathing exercise every hour if you can.” Right then, I knew I was in good hands. You execute your tasks with authority and make your patients feel they are taken care of compassionately. You always deliver, and when you said you will be back, you did. You came back within minutes with whatever it was I was asking for. I did not have to wait for hours. You mentioned that I need to walk around. It will help me. You managed to show up in my room at 5 am to walk with me. I knew how busy you were and you still found time to deliver what you promised. Thank you for making me feel special. Your compassion and excellence in taking care of your patients make you stand out. Keep up the good work! We need nurses like you!
