I was experiencing extraordinary pain due to my procedures. As a result, I requested a meeting with my attending physician. Following this meeting I was left upset and angry; Jen came into my room and as a result, her professional and caring bedside manner immediately had me in a calmer state which helped to manage my pain with compassion and demeanor. Not only did she listen and offer support, but she also stepped in and gave options that allowed me to take appropriate steps to address my concerns and needs without her guidance! I believe I’d have remained angry and in pain. In my opinion, she is a perfect example of what any patient could want from a nurse.
