November 2025 Honoree
Jennifer M Fridlund, MSN, RN, CNOR
I am 42 years old and was diagnosed with lung cancer. As I was being prepped for surgery, I had one of the worst panic attacks I have ever had. Nurse Jennifer Fridlund noticed my distress and realized I was having a panic attack.
I could not calm myself down, and Jennifer stepped in and sat next to me; she held my hand and helped me through the panic attack by reassuring me I was in the very best of care, with surgical nurses and Dr. Vercillo. I am grateful for Jennifer, my doctor, and the staff of surgical nurses. My surgery was successful, and I am recovering.
Jennifer was so kind to check on me after the surgery, knowing what a difficult time I was having dealing with my diagnosis. I would like to thank Jennifer for helping me through this difficult time. She went above and beyond my expectations.
