Jenna always cares for her patients with such compassion but recently I witnessed this in detail. A son was going to go into the room in which the mother was having great difficulty accepting the death of the father. Jenna spoke to the son with such compassion and empathy to help him understand how distraught the mother was. Jenna had worked in full PPE for over an hour trying to comfort the mother to no avail. Jenna was patient and kind during the entire event never showing anything but kindness and care. Jenna is the perfect example of a nurse who loves her patients, cares about her patients, and is there to support them during times of grief. The emotional impact on Jenna was significant as it was for all the staff involved. Through it all, Jenna was a wonderful example of what it means to be a nurse. It will be a long time before any of us forget the situation but I am proud of the staff and proud of Jenna.
